Vicki Igbokwe - Founder and Creative Director
- Create world-class dance theatre experiences and workshops that tour globally.
- Ensure the company is ambitious, pushing boundaries, thinking outside the box whilst delivering Uchenna activity to the highest possible standard.
- Sustain and strengthen relationships with a range of people including audiences, participants, partners and funders.
- Create and lead a strong, dynamic team who are empowered to work with and represent Uchenna.
- Increase Uchenna’s visibility, profile and reputation as a company within the dance sector, wider arts sector and beyond.
- Deliver, monitor, evaluate and develop Uchenna’s strategic plan with the team and advisory board.
Independently, Vicki works as a choreographer, movement director and facilitator.
She is a Trustee for One Dance UK, the UK Body for Dance and the Facilitator for two East London Dance programmes; The Fi.ELD (Future Innovators East London Dance) supporting the next generation of dance leaders and We Move supporting leaders of the hip-hop dance community.
Internationally, she has worked as a Mass Movement Choreographer for Olympic and Paralympic Ceremonies including London 2012, Sochi 2014, Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2014 and the Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku, Azerbaijan 2017.
She graduated from Middlesex University with a BA in Dance Studies and an MA in Cultural Leadership from City University.
Grace Okereke - Producer
As a producer, Grace works across performance productions, touring, fundraising, and strategic development. She has previously worked with Luca Silvestrini’s Protein Dance, High Hearted Theatre, Mayuri Boonham/ATMA Dance, One Dance UK, Rambert, Greenwich Dance, East London Dance, The Body Narratives (multi-disciplinary arts) and more.
Grace focuses on company development and fundraising, as well as working alongside Vicki Igbokwe to support the artistic needs of Uchenna.
She is currently under a Fellowship with ISPA (International Society of Performing Arts), representing England.
Viviana Rocha - Assistant Producer
Credits include presenting work at Resolution (The Place), IYAF (Kingston), Spacer (Poland), BJCEM (Italy), STOFF (Sweden) and a commission for DanceWest’s Ignition Festival. She has also produced The Fi.ELD’s ‘Live & Direct’ dance festival at Stratford Circus Arts Centre and is currently coordinating The Head Wrap Diaries UK tour.
Carol Ann Walters - PR & Marketing
Following an early career in radio and then in TV production, Carol Ann originally trained as a broadcast features journalist before following a career in public relations.
She is a member of the Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA), the National Union of Journalists (NUJ), Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), Freelance Media Group (FMG), and Your Business Community (YBC).
She brings extensive experience in print and digital PR, including social media and journalism, and has run scores of successful PR and marketing campaigns for clients in the event, entertainment, charity, and corporate sectors.
