Our Mighty Groove October Rehearsals

This October half-term, we welcomed the full professional and young cast to the rehearsal studio for the first time! The studio buzzed with energy and creativity as we embarked on an intensive rehearsal week for Our Mighty Groove, the inaugural show for Sadler’s Wells East, opening in Stratford’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in February 2025.

Our Mighty Groove transports audiences to a vibrant New York nightclub. We focused on rebuilding this world, physically, emotionally and creatively. Guided by the artistic team, the dancers worked to breathe life into the club’s atmosphere and their characters. The cast dove into character development, allowing each dancer to connect with their role, shining their personalities through every movement.

Uchenna was joined in the rehearsal studio by the Sadler’s Wells East team, and our collaborators in music, lighting and sound.

It was a busy week and we were so blessed to be surrounded by such incredible creativity and support as we bring Our Mighty Groove back to life!
