Women in Dance Award
AWA DANCE (Advancing Women’s Aspirations with Dance) launches its first Women in Dance Award this month seeking to celebrate a woman in the UK dance sector for her outstanding leadership practice in the UK during 2020, someone whose actions have made an impact beyond herself. The aim is to make these awards an annual ceremony awarding one woman the accolade of the Women in Dance Award.
The online live ceremony event will take place on Friday 26th March at 7.30pm (UK time).
The award winner might be a choreographer, dancer, producer, technician, administrator, artistic director, etc., someone that has made an exceptional contribution to the dance sector this 2020 for her leadership practice.
The online event is donation based with a minimum ticket donation of £2, although there is an option to donate more. All proceeds from the ticket sales will go towards the development of new programmes for the AWA DANCE charity.
